Bug ID: 155012
Summary: Same Help page used for Sign Document and Encrypt
Document dialogs
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.6.0.0 alpha0+ Master
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Documentation
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
Blocks: 105605, 120200
Two dialogs lead to the same Help page:
(1) File > Digital Signatures > Digital Signatures... > Sign Document...
dialog: Help button leads to the "Select certificate" help page, with matching
contents:
https://help.libreoffice.org/7.6/en-US/text/shared/01/selectcertificate.html
(HID=xmlsec/ui/selectcertificatedialog/grid1#bm_@@nowidget@@)
There are other ways to get to the Sign Document dialog, like with File >
Export as PDF... > Digital Signatures tab > Select.
(2) File > Save > Encrypt with GPG key > Save > "Select X.509 Certificate"
dialog: Help button leads to the same page. Even though it is a similar dialog,
there are differences:
- The dialog talks about "Encryption", but the help page doesn't mention it.
The page should link to other pages relevant to encryption, like
https://help.libreoffice.org/7.6/en-US/text/shared/guide/openpgp.html;
- No "Description" field in the dialog;
[- There is no mention of X.509 certificates, which is in the dialog's title
(although there might be something wrong there, given that PGP should be used
by default for ODF - see bug 153626).]
I think there is enough difference to have a separate page for (2).
Tested with:
Version: 7.6.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 5cd9de202765e243e41416802f3e4486b8a96f16
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded
