--- Comment #2 from Jack Appelmans <[email protected]> --- Created attachment 187036 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=187036&action=edit Test data file for Navigator synchronization bug in Writer versions 7.4.2 and later. Evinces defect. 2023-05-01 JTA: Test data file to demonstrate defective behavior in the Writer Navigator pane synchronization feature in versions 7.4.2. This data file augments the default styles with several hierarchies of additional styles. Each of the new styles is assigned an Outline Level to ensure proper inheritance and indenting in the Outline of the Navigator Pane. Behaviors: 1. Clicking on an outline entry in the Navigator Pane accurately locates the cursor within the document content at the corresponding location. 2. Placing the cursor in any location within the content should cause the Navigator pane to synchronize by placing currency on the corresponding lowest outline entry for that content location, as it does in version 7.2.5.2. However, in versions 7.4.2 and later, the Navigator Pane synchronizes to an entry within the Bookmarks list labeled "__Ddelink__" with a numeric suffix instead of the correct entry in the Outline. Further, I have observed that *multiple locations* in the document all cause the Navigator pane to synchronize to the *same* "__Ddelink__" entry in the Bookmarks list, despite their actually corresponding to *different* entries in the Outline. (As mentioned before, version 7.2.5.2 continues to correctly synchronize the Navigator Pane's outline and the content bidirectionally.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
