I can not reproduce the bug in: LibreOffice Version 7.5.3.2 (X86_64)or 7.6.0.0.aplha1+ (X86_64) Kernel: 5.19 OS: Ubuntu 22.04.2 The steps I followed were: 1. Launched Writer 2. Created a new .odt document 3. Added some text over two pages 4. Toggled 'Menu/View/Whitespace' on and off 5. Scrolled up and down No strange shape appeared.
