A) Those extra cells are not needed in the first place. This is like having a
text editor inserting 10,000 empty lines unnecessarily whenever a new file is
opened.

Yes. That's why the solution was never hiding them in the first place. Hiding
!= deleting.

The solution is to make the action in `Sheet > Delete rows/columns` completely
delete the rows or columns, not just clear its content and shift them.

Make users choose the size of they need. This has been requested many times on
forums:
