Baseline mismatch between lines in different fonts

Suppose I use two different fonts in table cells on the same line. For example:
My table has one column with a name in a regular serif font and the other has
email addresses set in a monospace fonts.

It turns out, that in this case, the baselines for the (first line of the) text
in the same table row will be different. And this can't be fixed even by
playing with the vertical alignment. See attachment for an example.

I believe this is a problem, although not necessarily a bug per se.
