Thanks for testing and providing more details.

In this case, this is not a LibreOffice problem. LibreOffice adheres to what
the Gtk library and the configured theme define, which is why you can also see
the same behavior in gedit.

You can try different Gtk themes to see whether there's another one that better
fits your needs. This should be configurable in the settings for your desktop
environment, e.g. GNOME or KDE Plasma. (Or you can manually set the environment
variable GTK_THEME=<themename> before starting LibreOffice, e.g.
GTK_THEME=Breeze.)

For example, I'm attaching 2 screenshots with different Gtk themes selected,
but the same LibreOffice version:

* attachment 188416 shows what it looks like with the "Adwaita" theme
* attachment 188417 shows what it looks like with the "Breeze" theme
