            Bug ID: 156481
Summary: failure of word 97-2003 recordings
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 7.5.5.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
Hello,
Creating or resuming documents that have always been saved in the 97-2003 file
format no longer works. For example, a 19 MB file already saved using Libre
Office Writer is lost when saved. A subsequent view of the file in Windows
Explorer enables the same file to be found for 80 KB. However, when this
document is entered, no alert is displayed to indicate that there is a problem.
Note also 1 - that Libre Office Writer crashes several times, and that
recoveries of files that have become faulty are error-prone 2 - that trying to
save in ODF format crashes systematically. To find a solution I have
uninstalled Libre Office several times, I have also reinstalled older versions
but I can't find a solution - Thank you in advance for helping me - Sincerely

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open a previously saved file in différent name
2.seamless data entry and saving in Word 97-2003 format, with no fault warnings
3.save in error and unable to open saved document

The steps to reproduce the error are as simple as :
Step 1: open an existing file
Step 2 and then complete it
Step 3 and save it

Actual Results:
The 19 MB file is saved for 80 KB and is no longer recognized. A blocking
message indicates the comment "Reading error. This file is not a valid
WinWord97 file.

Expected Results:
It should have worked normally and saved the original 19 MB file in a larger
size.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
This situation remains inexplicable, which is why I am calling on your
expertise to find a solution - Thank you in advance for your help.
PS : failure mode does not solve the problem
