Just to double-check: Does "Help" > "About LibreOffice" say "VCL: gtk3" instead
of "VCL: kf5(cairo+xcb)" if you do that?

Since this issue only occurs in a specific setup and is not easily
reproducible, you could increase chances of somebody being able to look into it
by doing a bibisect, to identify at which change the behavior changed. More
