          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 64247
          Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: Why is there no repeat function???
          Severity: enhancement
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: All
          Reporter: [email protected]
          Hardware: Other
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: 4.0.2.2 release
         Component: Libreoffice
           Product: LibreOffice

If you work with documents that require a lot of small formatting changes
(e.g., changing the color of isolated words to from black to blue), then the
repeat function that MS Office has is really useful and, with large docs, can
save literally hundreds of mouse-clicks and -movements:

- in LibreOffice Writer, one option is this: you double-click on word 1, change
its formatting (with at least a few clicks are keyboard shortcuts), you
double-click on word 2, change its formatting (with at least a few clicks are
keyboard shortcuts), ...
- in Word, you double-click on word 1, change its formatting (with at least a
few clicks are keyboard shortcuts), but then you double-click on word 2 and
press CTRL-Y, done. Thus, you can really quickly make tons of changes without
ever returning to the menus again!

Why can't we have that??

Admittedly, there is a second option but then this option is not implemented
across LibreOffice:

- in LibreOffice Writer, I can highlight multiple individual words by
double-clicking on them while pressing CTRL and then apply the formatting to
all of them at the same time, which is close to nice.
- but in LibreOffice Impress that is not possible.

Again, why can't he have that? Seems like just like PowerPoint was the unloved
sibling in Office with much less functionality, Impress is the same for
LibreOffice ...

For power users, these are somewhat serious issues, costing many minutes a day.
