          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 64248
          Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: Why can't a highlight multiple separate words in
                    Impress (but in Writer)?
          Severity: normal
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: All
          Reporter: [email protected]
          Hardware: Other
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: 4.0.2.2 release
         Component: Presentation
           Product: LibreOffice

If you work with documents that require a lot of small formatting changes
(e.g., changing the color of isolated words to from black to blue), then the
repeat function that MS Office has is really useful and, with large docs, can
save literally hundreds of mouse-clicks and -movements:

- in LibreOffice Writer, I can highlight multiple individual words by
double-clicking on them while pressing CTRL and then apply the formatting to
all of them at the same time, which is close to nice.
- but in LibreOffice Impress that is not possible.

Again, why can't he have that? Seems like just like PowerPoint was the unloved
sibling in Office with much less functionality, Impress is the same for
LibreOffice ...

For power users, these are somewhat serious issues, costing many minutes a day.
