Bug ID: 156607
Summary: Lost footnotes in DOCX file
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.6.0.1 rc
Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
This bug was supposedly fixed back then per
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=153804 but it's still
there. I was working on a DOCX file I was sent by a client and after a few
working sessions, I opened the document and all the footnotes are gone. Only
the little superscript number remains at the bottom of the page.
The document is 213 pages long. I'm tracking changes and I've been inserting
comments liberally.
I cannot share the document because it's confidential. Not sure how to generate
a new one exhibiting this behaviour without considerable effort. But maybe the
previous work on this bug could help devs find the issue?
Steps to Reproduce:
Not sure. I was working normally and everything went right for a few days, then
suddenly all footnotes disappeared.
Actual Results:
Footnotes are missing.
Expected Results:
Footnotes should be preserved, obviously.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
