That explains the problem when trying to run the app and means something is
wrong with your build setup. I'd suggest to start anew with a fresh
checkout/download of the LibreOffice source code.

I'm not aware of anything explicitly requiring building from git, but if you
still get the same problem after starting afresh, I'd suggest trying to find a
way to do the same with a "proper" git repo.
https://www.libreoffice.org/about-us/source-code/ describes several ways to get
one. (If the `git pull` doesn't work at all, I'd suggest trying with the
version that you get from the bundle at first, just to see whether that works).
