My setup is similar to yours 3k laptop screen, 1650x1050 external monitor set
to primary display when attached. 150% zoom on laptop screen, 100% on external
monitor. LibO is usable on laptop screen when no monitor is attached, usable on
laptop screen when external monitor is attached but not usable on external
monitor (everything is scaled up way to much).
