On another laptop (running Windows 10 and Opera browser),I have LO 6.44 installed and F1 works fine so I uninstalled LO from the laptop where F1 is a problem and installed v6.44. Interestingly the F1 problem remained. Then thinking it might be a browser problem I changed the default browser from Opera to Edge and hey presto - problem solved.
