I used the example text:

- Mary Jones met Joe Smith at the park.

and put my cursor in "met".

Then I pressed Shift+F3 multiple times:

1. Mary Jones Met Joe Smith at the park.
2. Mary jones met joe smith at the park.
3. Mary jones MET joe smith at the park.
4. Mary jones met joe smith at the park.
5. Mary jones Met joe smith at the park.

I agree with Heiko's/Sascha's suggestion in Comment #3:

> the ideal behavior would be as OP suggest, only change current word if no 
> selection is done

If cursor only exists in a single word, it should not change casing of the
entire sentence/paragraph.
