Bug ID: 158199
Summary: Base crashes whenever I drag a table display while
editing a form
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.6.2.1 release
Hardware: All
OS: macOS (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Base
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
LibreOffice Base (version 7.6.2.1) crashes consistently if I try to resize a
table display in the Form editor by clicking and dragging a handle. It also
crashes (or sometimes hangs) if I try to move the table by dragging. Hence, the
only way to move or resize the table is through the properties dialog.
I am using a MacBook Pro with an Apple M1 Max chip, running Ventura 13.4.1.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a form in design view.
2.Add a table to the form.
3.Attempt to drag a corner to resize.
Actual Results:
LibreOffice immediately crashes.
Expected Results:
Should have allowed me to drag the table to move or resize it.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
Additional Info:
I tried opening LibreOffice in Safe Mode and the problem disappeared (while in
Safe Mode). However, every time I reopened LibreOffice after opening in Safe
Mode, the splash screen would flash repeatedly without the application opening
all the way. (I had to force quit.) The only way to get LiberOffice to open
again was to rename my user folder so it was recreated. This happened several
times. Once back in LibreOffice (not in safe mode), the problem returned.
