If you permanently want to force a specific VCL plugin, adding `export
SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=<your_preferred_plugin_name>` to `~/.bashrc` (or
`~/.bash_aliases` if that's sourced by the former) should work. Or
alternatively, you can also uninstall the package for the kf5 VCL plugin (e.g.
libreoffice-kf5 for Debian).

That depends on the change. The one mentioned in comment 33 would apply for
qt5/kf5 as well, but it can't be merged as is, since it breaks other things.
