Bug ID: 158308
Summary: EDITING CTRL-Shift-; didn't work at first and now
overwrites existing format
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.6.2.1 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
When attempting to insert the current date in a field using CTRL-SHIFT-;
nothing would happen at first.
Following some advice from reddit, I was able to get it to work by modifying
the shortcut key combination several times (to F3, ctrl-shift-,, ctrl-shift-;),
most of which didn't work, despite quitting from libreoffice and restarting
several times.
At first, during the above iterations, I noticed that pressing the
key-combination would not insert the time but would change the cell's format to
HH:MM:SS AM/PM, and eventually it started inserting the time.
Throughout this process, inserting the time using the menus (Insert/Time)
worked.
The next issue I'm having with this, which is also new, is that the cell's
format is overwritten (i.e. if I insert the time in a cell formatted for time
as "HH:MM AM/PM" the cell's format changes to "HH:MM:SS AM/PM"), which I don't
want.
Thank you!
