Your help is greatly appreciated! I tried importing your epub document into Apple Books, and it says, "No such file or directory". So I installed Calibre on my Mac, and it imported your epub file and displayed it correctly, with italic and bold in the footnote and endnote. Then I opened your LibreOffice file and exported to epub. I imported the resulting epub file into Apple Books. It imported ok, but did not display italic and bold correctly in the footnote or endnote. When I imported the epub file into Calibre, it displayed the footnote and endnote correctly.
