One additional quirk:

1. if the cell that contains the hyperlink is cell A1, and the focus is on
another cell (e.g. C10), then moving to cell A1 with the arrow keys shows one
result (the hyperlink with gray background).
2. Now use the mouse to click on another cell (e.g. C10), then click on cell
A1, click back on cell C10, click once again on cell A1 > the gray background
highlighting is not shown, but the clean text.
3. In this status, click on the formula bar to edit the content of the cell >
unfortunately the problem described in comment 0 is still present. OTOH,
clicking on the "=" icon as described in comment 20 allows the correct edition
of the hyperlink.
