I see the bug has no assignee. Have steps been taken in identifying the hardware that is prone to encountering the issue? would you say that be a good first step in tackling it? I can't personally take a stab at it right now, I am extremely busy. Perhaps next year -but I would have to learn to code first, and I expect it will take some time before I'm competent enough to make sense of this particular problem.
