--- Comment #60 from Mike Kaganski <[email protected]> --- (In reply to V Stuart Foote from comment #57) > Hmm, enabled that Writer Compatibility option (undocumented bug 131235) but > that doesn't seem to provide this behavior: > <snip> > MS Word user forums suggest: 'Select' the full line of text (including all > over the edge spaces), and 'Center' it (with <Ctl>+E shorcut) to delete all > extra spaces, then still selected 'Align it' where preferred. > </snip> Hmm. No, not RTL. But I overlooked the the behavior of actually removing the trailing blanks *of a paragraph*. The quote is wrong in use of word "line": e.g., if in a paragraph you have a multi-space run somewhere in the middle, and this space run is last in its line, then no matter how you select, centering does not change it. And vice versa: if the spaces are last in a paragraph, you don't need any selection - just have cursor inside the paragraph to drop the trailing spaces. I don't think that centering (formatting) should actually change content. If needed, a separate function could be implemented ... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
