IMHO the empty dialog is -really- unhelpful; if there are no devices
there, it'd be lovely to populate it with some human-readable text:
"scanning for remote control devices"
Or perhaps just a label: "Click to select a bluetooth device as a
remote-control" or somesuch (?)
