So all should be fine again: 3.6.x update will offer 3.6.5 (exact), and
early versions of 4.0 (like betas and RC's) will offer update to the
final 4.0. Please check :-)
I have an older version here on a computer: LibO 3.5.6. Here the online
update leads to 3.5.7. Shouldn't it lead to 3.6.5 as Thorsten mentioned
for update on x.y.3? (The webpage then leads to 3.5.7 too, which is then
correct).
