I don't expect a lot of people complaining about Windows 2000, but the problem is already solved in the installer (currently only in Master, see https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65129) Maybe it is worth to add this to the 4.0.6 installer and only then force them to update?
