There is not shortage of nice ideas for GSoC projects. Unless you either volunteer to mentor one of these tasks there is nearly no chance that they will be included in GSoC. I also consider trying to push your own ideas through the developer mailing list for GSoC the same as trying to get developers to fix your own bugs. Regards, Markus
