--- Comment #16 from Heiko Tietze <heiko.tie...@user-prompt.com> --- First of all I have to admit that I didn't read all of the comments. Sorry if something has been discussed before. We run a study on LO standard toolbar last year. Quick wins can be found here: http://user-prompt.com/conclusions-of-the-libreoffice-icon-test/ The findings support Jay's basic idea. But I would be careful with removing or adding too much stuff from the standard toolbar because the position of an icon is quite important too. That means some icons serve as whitespace even when it's never used. For instance, if Save was the left most function it could be misinterpreted as save and close (it was common practice to have Exit in the toolbar, erstwhile). All toolbars are customizable. Right click somewhere and chose the option from the context menu. Neither this dialog is usable nor it's obvious how to access it. But Jay's first issue could be solved right now. So how's about a better usability for the personalization of toolbars? Finally I'd like to advice caution using personal preferences. For instance, the Navigator might not be used by many people but I love it. So I'd suggest to add Search into this sidebar - and most users wouldn't find the function anymore. All ideas have to get confirmed by a larger group of standard users. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. _______________________________________________ Libreoffice-ux-advise mailing list Libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-ux-advise
