I think the OP's issue with this workflow is that it creates a "child" of the
selected style as a default, rather than an independent, exact copy that
differs only by name.
So we'd end up with two options to create a new style based on an existing one:
- New inheriting style
- Clone this style
Or:
- New "child"
- New "sibling"
