The root cause is unknown to me. It worked well before. I fixed them, see f58c4f0439d53bc3116d5321fc89d89bab26cb1d and 2a112a9830e1816bc9a51d64a3fc0ad804528a98 (makefile.mk in translations module). A day later Michael Meeks also patched that file, he added even more elements to PYTHONPATH.
