Tim - the best way (or at least what I'd do) to find that is to cp -a your ~/.config/libreoffice to somewhere else; change the setting, exit, then diff -ur on the files, perhaps xmlint --format them, and diff -u again - then hack the default setting in officecfg. Any chance you can tweak your patch to that ?
