Building 5.3.0.3 using the supplied firebird (external/tarballs/Firebird-3.0.0.32483-0.tar.bz2) results in intermittent failure. It seems to be a known problem (https://www.mail-archive.com/firebird-devel@lists.sourceforge.net/msg13374.html), possibly fixed in a later version.
