Hello Marc, IMHO I think the response is here: https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-online I don't know the reason but I understand it as TDF let companies like Collabora to develop online feature above LO. I think you shouldn't expect much support here for collaborative use since it's TDF.
Of course, I may be wrong, I'm just an unaffiliated casual contributor.
