Hi Xisco, hi all,

I tried a bit more and found a solution for my local build.

I installed Python 3.11 and the appropriate meson package from the 'devel:' repositories and used this within a Python virtual environment. I had to activate this virtual environment for the build of LibreOffice from source.

It's not possible to change the whole system to Python 3.11, because that breaks other useful tools etc.

Regards,
Andreas

since yesterday I get a build break within the Python module of LibreOffice. I tested this again with a fresh git clone from Gerrit, but there is no difference. The build breaks again.

internal python3 was recently upgraded to 3.12 in 528cdd6573748d01c9d99ca3710a808866281921 "python3: upgrade to 3.12.11 (master only)".

Can you try to build before and after this commit to see whether this is the one causing the problem for you?

the upgrade of Python to version 3.12.11 causes the issue. I could only build LibreOffice with a hard reset to the commit before that Python update.

I could also not revert that Python update patch only and build again.

Thus there is currently no option to build LibreOffice master with the patches, committed after the Python upgrade, e.g. with the current state of master.

Andreas
