Hello everyone, My name is Madhura R Hegde. I am a second-year engineering student with a background in computer science fundamentals and basic experience in programming.
I am currently preparing to apply for Google Summer of Code 2026 and am very interested in contributing to LibreOffice. I am a beginner to the LibreOffice codebase and large C++ projects, but I am motivated to learn and to contribute seriously. I have started setting up my development environment and am planning to build LibreOffice locally as my first step. After that, I intend to work on one of the Easy Hacks to understand the codebase and development workflow better. I have subscribed to this mailing list to learn from the community discussions and would appreciate any guidance or pointers that may help a new contributor get started effectively.
