Phew, the Libre <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libre> page is now live! Thanks for all your help, folks. Matt: Thanks for your grammatical fixes and your suggestion to sort out the footnotes. I moved some non-citation material out of the footnotes and into the body. Pharos: Thanks for the tip! I knew of the Gratis versus Libre page, but I used the Alternative Terms for Free Software page to add some extra content at the last minute. Hopefully it'll stick around, grow and be a useful contribution to Wikipedia :) Chris *Chris Sakkas **Admin of the FOSsil Bank wiki <http://fossilbank.wikidot.com/> and the Living Libre blog <http://www.livinglibre.com> and Twitter feed<https://twitter.com/#%21/living_libre> .* On 24 May 2012 01:04, Matthew Senate <[email protected]> wrote: > Thanks Richard! > > Yes, indeed, you may want to check out the discussion pages on those > articles and see if this topic has come up before about creating a new page > outright for "Libre". > > You could further help your case by seeing if there is any content that > would not fit appropriately on these two articles (or any other for that > matter) but would make sense to be posted on a "Libre" article. > > If you find this to be the case, I'd even recommend adding an explanation > and links to the "Discussion" page. > > // Matt > > > On Wed, May 23, 2012 at 3:52 PM, Pharos <[email protected]>wrote: > >> You also might want to keep these articles in mind: >> >> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gratis_versus_libre >> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alternative_terms_for_free_software >> >> Thanks, >> Richard >> >> On Wed, May 23, 2012 at 6:37 PM, Matthew Senate <[email protected]> >> wrote: >> > Great work so far, I added some grammatical and clarification changes >> to the >> > first paragraph, would love to continue the conversation on-wiki.
