The 'Copyleft is GOOD for Business" pitch is hardly new - but usually it doesn't come loudly from the "Free Software" side of the aisle...
Summarizing broadly, and yes, ignoring a lot of the nuances, there are two 'camps' of copy left enthusiasts, with a lot of folks having various ratios of body parts in one camp or the other, or both... The 'Free Software' camp mostly all talks about how copyleft is good for freedom, and says parenthetically that while it's good for business, that is just a side effect and not important.... The 'Open Source' camp mostly all talks about how copyleft is good for business, and says parenthetically that while it's good for freedom, that is just a side effect and not important.... IMNSHO both camps are right about what copyleft is good for, but don't put enough importance on the 'side effects'... ;-} ART ------------------ Arthur Torrey - <[email protected]> -------------------
