joinlaw - you could have just asked parabola - parabola does not take black-listing lightly - the answer would have been, that before black-listing any program, the first order of business is to try modifying the program to be FSDG-free - if that is not possible or is too much trouble, then the secondary concern is to look for a suitable replacement - only after no suitable replacement can be found would that program be removed from parabola - so the mere fact that no replacement exists can be quite confidently taken to imply that no replacement exists
but, and this of course should not go without saying, that AFAIK electron is nothing more than a stripped-down web browser, masquerading as a desktop program; but a web browser that is constrained to visiting only one single web page, a web page that deceptively looks like an "app" - therefore *any* web browser is a suitable (indeed superior) replacement for example, jitsi-meet, riot, and most others are also 100% usable in standard web browsers as demonstrated below - electron is much less interesting or useful in reality than it appears on the surface https://meet.jit.si/ https://riot.im/app/ _______________________________________________ libreplanet-discuss mailing list [email protected] https://lists.libreplanet.org/mailman/listinfo/libreplanet-discuss
