Anybody else getting tired about how this kind of crap clutters up, and
   destroys, otherwise useful email lists?
Doesn't matter whether one is for or against - once someone is accused
of political incorrect behavior, conversation becomes dominated by
discussions of list rules, expelling people, free speech, censorship &
anti-censorship - to the extent that all useful work gets crowded out.
Mind you, it seems like those who condemn tend to be the most insistent
& vociferous - provoking folks who see a need to defend either the
person being attacked, or the general principle of free speech.
   Sigh....

Well, it's disappointing but not surprising that a call for improving
the way people are treated within the free software movement is being
seen by some on this list as "hateful" or somehow in "opposition to
free software." I honestly don't see how creating a haven for sexist
behavior and disrespect can lead to the movement's growth, but maybe
I'm mistaken in thinking that we all want that growth.
I am grateful to those who are interested in working towards an
inclusive and non-toxic future for the free software movement. Maybe
I'll get to work with you all someday on one of the projects that is
interested in growing the free software movement.
   Best,

     Generalization without end.
Why are you sending accusations to this mailing list? How is this
mailing list to defend your rights? Or is your only purpose to
     divide
     and bring more hate here?

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice.
In practice, there is. .... Yogi Berra

Theory is when you know everything but nothing works.
Practice is when everything works but no one knows why.
In our lab, theory and practice are combined:
nothing works and no one knows why. ... unknown
