Well, pulling the BIOS out of the L50 is a simple matter of running
Sourcer with BIOS disassembler on it (www.systemcommander.com) -- poof
instant source to look at.

Editing it is up to you.

You can also pull it from the downloadable BIOS upgrades at
www.csd.toshiba.com.

after making modifications, you'll simply inject it back into the BIOS
upgrade package from www.csd.toshiba.com, then install as normal.

Naturally, editing the BIOS to add/drop/change specific features
requires a good understanding of low-level PC operations, hex editing,
de/re-assembling, and a bunch of other low-level information -- nothing
I'd know (I just know how it can be done).
