Jason,

1A of service should be enough in the car if you don't use this power supply
to drive any attached equipment, such as a PCMCIA CD player. The original
power supply is rated at 2A, but the 50 does not charge the battery whilst
operating, so you should be in good shape.

Personally, I like the car adapters from NESCO here in the US. They are
generally available for about US$75, often for US$50. If you are in KL, go
down to Embi Plaza and look around. You may find one for a reasonable
price.

Michael

Subject: Car Adapter

Hi,

I own a 70CT Libretto. I have recently bought a car Winstar W-18CA DC to DC
converter. This is a regulated DC converter, and the short description said
this is suitable for any device up to 1000mA. Since I have no money for an
original car adapter, may I check with anyone of you who has a similar
experience whether this will work?

I know there is info of building an external battery which can last for 4 to
8 hours but I really don't know how to do it, what a fool...

Thanks.

Regards,
Jason
