Almost seems like you could also hook a generator up to the bike and recharge
the batteries (albeit slowly) that way as well if you're gonna be riding 6+
hours a day.

Also, besides the leaky bags, try a ziplock for the Libretto.  I had one with
mine going into the rain, and it's pretty much sinkable/dunkable for all
intents w/o letting water into the bag.

...too bad there isn't a live 'Bike Cam' for all of us to watch ;)=
