Subject: Re: Mices pads / faux experience

My Libretto played a part in international intrigue and mystery.

It had been 9 months since my last visit to "Q" headquarters. When passing
through security, my handprint failed to identify.

When the image of record was compared to my current print, it was discovered
that my right thumbprint was worn smooth of the normal ridges and swirls.
Further investigation showed that it was caused by the "AucuiPoint" of my Lib.

I remembered the thread here and dug out the two extra pads that came with
the machine.

I cannot believe the difference. I no longer have to fight the mouse and I
have a lot less "arrow creep" when I remove my thumb.

I can only assume the extra pressure required to maintain traction with the
worn pointer pad caused additional trauma to the sensors and thus the
frustrating time waiting for the pointer to stabilize.

While most if not all others (Neil excepted) may not have hand print
problems, you may well be surprised how much easier a new pad will make your
life.
