If that occurs, maybe it is the battery instead? After all, batteries do
have limited lifespans. You can check the operation of the AC adapter by
running the Libretto w/o the battery. If it works, then you know to buy a new
battery. A few hundred to a thousand charge cycles is all Li-Ion batteries can
handle.
