Subject: Broken Libretto
While trying to identify the RTS battery for replacement, I forgot to
remove the main battery. I accidently shorted something and cooked a
transistor. The machine will not power up as a result. I found the
damaged component on the board, but I cannot figure out what it was to
replace it. If some kind soul could either give me the number off of
this part or better yet a picture of it that would be of great help. The
part is on the mother board under the PCMCIA slot. There are 2 small
surface mount transistors there. One is marked A 9, the other is the one
that fried. I can't read it, it was burned that badly. The motherboard
is probably damaged beyond repair, but it is worth a shot.
Any help is appreciated.
