This is incorrect- I've been using a Toshiba 12G drive for about a year in my
L70CT, and recently (a month ago) swapped it out for an IBM 20G. The drives
are NOT 'too fast', unless Toshiba is referring to Ultra/DMA mode, which the
Librettos don't support anyway. (Not sure about that for the 100/110). There
are incompatibilities with the BIOS, (8G limit, and hibernation directly to the
end of the 8G boundary), but there are a number of workarounds. I'm quite
happy with the performance of my machine with the high-capacity drives- the new
IBM is VERY nice! BTW, I primarily use the machine with Linux, so the BIOS 8G
limit is not an issue.
