I don't know of many other places besides Ebay and this list where older,
smaller HDs are going for sale. Of course, you can drop in any of the HDs
listed on my site and they'll work as well. (eg. drop in a 8GB 8.45mm HD and
that'll work - you may need to run it with a software disk manager program like
Ontrack's disk manager, but it'll work).
www.spartantech.com is one place that'll sell new HDs, as will many other HD
vendors out there. The 8.45mm HD are harder to find however.
If you use a 9.5mm or thicker HD, you should disassemble the L and remove the
plastic spacers around the HD bay under the black plastic sheeting surrounding
the HD bay - else, you may bend the motherboard above it just enough to
delaminate the RAM chips (bad).
