Subject: Windows 2000 Question

I am running W2K on a overclocked Libretto 100CT. I routinely use standby
vice hibernation, and read with interest that the BIOS will do a direct
write to disk if it orders a hibernation that will essentially trash my hard
disk - unless I am exceptionally lucky. Is there a way to identify and
partition that area without a reinstallation of W2K?? I followed the
discussion of writing all ones and looking for the area... but I am
uninterested in doing that - I'll just continue to operate like I am and
take the chance.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Brian
