The MicroDrive is actually a CF card-format device, that has a PCMCIA Type
II adapter included.
The largest type III PCMCIA HD I have ever seen is 1 gig.
The largest Type II PCMCIA HD is 500 Meg.
I have no idea how you could cram 8 Gig into a Type [II/III] format card -
there really *has* to be an external part tethered to the PCMCIA card...
