Subject: AW: L100+Win2k+Enhanced port

I have it, running with Win2k.

No configuration, no extra drivers, simply plug Lib in and go! (Win2k
automatically installs an USB driver)

Works fine, but you must know that the new PC-Card slots on the port
replicator gets the power from the AC-adaptor, it is not useful to use the
enhanced port replicator without the AC-adaptor! (this is in opposite to the
mini portreplicator, which works also without AC-adaptor!)

There is a new entry near the "Start"-button in Win2k: "PC trennen" (in the
German version, I dont know the english variant, but it means to remove the
Lib from the Port replicator without shuting down. It works, but you may get
into troubles, if PC-Cards (e.g. network is still in use...)

I found no way to activate the port replicator after inserting the Lib
without shutdown.

On booting with the enhanced port replicator there is a new icon for a few
seconds beyond the red "Toshiba" - so it seems that the bios has to know
about it.

The combination with the enhanced port replicator is mechanically not very
fix and stable, I would not transport it combined.

regards
Gerhard

I am considering the purchase of an enhanced port replicator. Are there
any
particular issue about configuration mentioned in subject. Does it need
any
drivers?
Thank you,
Alexandre Kaoukhov
