I would suggest: 1st step: Use DOS-fdisk to partition the old HD. 2nd step: Install WinNT, Win2K or Linux on the old HD or install the old HD on another system and inspect the partitions. 3rd step: Install the new big HD and partition it with DOS-fdisk. Now the lower part is ready. 4th step: Install the "non-bios-disk-access" operating system and partition the rest of the disk. Make sure that there is a free space between the end of the existing partitions (from step 3) and the new partitions in the upper area. The size of the free space you know from step 2.
